Christmas Eve, 2021

“Christmas Eve, 2021”
December 24, 2021

Christmas Eve … and we had a BLT for breakfast, with local tomatoes, local lettuce, local bread, local cheese, local bacon … not sure about the mayo, it was probably from Nebraska.
Before breakfast I did what I do most days and “checked some numbers” … this time in was Bread Alone, the Lee & Miller Liaden chapbook we released a month ago. Amazon was sharing (somewhat trimmed for space) the mornings rankings …
Best Sellers Rank: #22,134 in Kindle
#45 in Science Fiction Anthologies (Kindle)
#61 in Science Fiction Anthologies (Books)
#341 in Space Opera Science Fiction (Kindle)
Customer Reviews: 4.8 out of 5 stars 132 ratings
So those numbers aren’t bad for an indie presentation that came out with no advance PR …. thanks for the support, thanks for the reviews and ratings (they really do help!), thanks for reading.
Baen doesn’t have the same kind of rating system as Amazon (though Bread Alone is available there if you prefer a non-Amazon source…) but in addition to Bread Alone we did do a requested Liaden Universe “holiday story” for Baen — you can find it on their website at: https://www.baen.com/every_storm_a_rainbow … that’s a free read for December and into January … and there’s a bonus for some of you — Baen’s having a Liaden ebook sale. Right There are 24 Lee and Miller ebook titles available, each at $1 off until December 31….
